Today the Tower is a pearl of this part of Salento, far from the chaos and mass tourism, together with the church of Madonna Dell'Alto Mare and the church of Madonna del Casale, linked by an ancient legend: it is said that a sailor , during a terrible storm, he had entrusted himself to the Madonna and, having saved himself, had the churches built on the top of the coast, from where they protected the whole coast and the villages nestled among the greenhouses.
